Hello, I’m Shaw.  I have my own company, SB Fitness UK and I’m a highly qualified personal trainer now based at the PT Hut.

Over the many years that I have been working in gyms I’ve witnessed so many people who come in with good intentions, high hopes and an ambition to improve their health, fitness, physique or simply to lose weight.  Unfortunately I’ve also seen too many who quickly lose interest and give up simply because they find their gym sessions are too demanding or too boring.  I make sure that doesn’t happen with my clients.

I believe that because every one of my clients is different and every one of their targets is different, then the training regime that I create for them should be custom-designed to match their own individual needs related to their age, fitness, desire and objectives.

That means preparing and guiding them through sessions that will ensure they achieve their goals.  But above all I believe that every session, although intensive, should be enjoyable and fun.  Each time they leave they should feel a real sense of progress and achievement … and look forward to the next one.
That’s my philosophy.  It’s what I do.  And it’s why I think you’ll enjoy training with me.

My qualifications include: Level 3 Diploma in Fitness Instructing and Personal Training; Level 2 Diploma in Health and Fitness
With recognition in: Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing; Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training; Level 2 Award in Instructing Circuit Sessions; Level 2 Award in Working with Communities to Promote and Support Active Healthy Lifestyles; Level 2 Award in Instructing Kettlebells; Introduction to ViPR training; Certificate in First Aid
And training in: The ability to work with individuals and groups and to teach a range of group training formats – circuits, outdoor boot camp training and small group PT for specialist populations.
Ability to identify and support health and physical activity needs within community. An understanding of behaviour change theories and how to apply those theories to achieve meaningful, long term and healthy behaviour change with clients
