Hi, I’m Steven Connor, owner of Prime-Fitness and the PT Hut.
I am a qualified level 3 personal trainer and nutritionist and I am a big believer in doing what works. I know that’s an obvious statement but there are a lot of gimmicks out there; fad diets, weight loss pills and shakes that in reality do nothing at all – some may even be harming you!
So the way I like to train is with compound exercises (several muscles at once) teaching your body’s systems to work together for a much more functional fitness. Whether that’s using body weight or free weights its good to mix things up. Don’t keep things the same as you can get bored and lose your way – which may even stop you seeing results as your body adapts to your routine. Intensity is a key word: your session lasts an hour and I like to make sure you get a full hours work out. Don’t be put off though you will enjoy it and it will go quickly!
It’s the same with nutrition: I will be honest 100% of the way with you! I won’t try and sell you any pills that promise ridiculous claims – I simply give you good advice on what foods and drinks are healthy and what isn’t. Your eating plan will be as natural as possible allowing for any allergies or beliefs.
